Remembering the Holocaust at the US Capitol

The United States Congress established the Days of Remembrance as the nation's annual commemoration of the Holocaust and created the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum as a permanent living memorial to the victims. Each year, the United States Holocaust Museum leads the nation in commemoration through a ceremony at the United States Capitol. In 2014, the commemoration theme was "Confronting the Holocaust: American Responses." Secretary of the Treasury Jacob Lew gave the keynote address. The ceremony was very moving.
